Go India go to your home

For the first time after a long time,I went to the TV room of my hostel to see the India's first match of the world cup.These days I don't see India's cricket matches as they don't win most of the time.But against Bangladesh in a worldcup,I thought they will do a bit well.Indian's won the toss and elected to bat.But in a few minutes as usual Sehwag is out.Sehwag is good for nothing in the team.He just forgot that there is something named bat in his hand and he has to play the ball with it.Instead he just throws the bat in air and gets out.People in the TV room say

" Isko sharam hi nahi aathi.Atleast he should quit the team himself??"

Then the next top class batsman is Sachin.He has all his bones smashed up inside and still he want to play world cup this time.After sometime he is also out.As usual dada aka Saurav fought a bit to get India to a total of 191 all out.I seriously appreciate Bangladesh for the discipline it showed in the match.
Now the turn is of bowlers.They are pathetic as usual.Zaheer is thrashed from top to bottom.He hit a 17 year kid on his head and the kid replied strongly with bat getting 32 runs in 25 balls of Zaheer.The kid looked like Tendulkar in some shots.Zaheer shows face expressions like he gained something big whenever he beats the batsman .But he doesn't know the batsman is going to hit him hard in the next ball itself.See my Game agression post.Iqbal has played really cool yesterday.Audience took the side of Bangladesh for sometime when the kid was playing.After this I left the match as it's sure India will loose

Advertisements come in the middle of the game,Which show me what really some of these these players do instead of playing cricket !!!

Tendulkar - Eating Biscuits and drinking boost
Sehwag - Seeing how Tendulkar eat biscuits and run with him.
Saurav - Just one half century a match and nothing else,plans for that all the time.
Yuvraj - Injury, so hanging with girl friend and getting indulged in quarrels.
Agarkar - always tired

All these players enter the cricket as lean kids,As the days progress on,they get used to luxuries,go for ads and forget how to play the game.I dont understand how much time these players spend of their time for ad shoots.Better BCCI stop paying huge remunerations and tell its cricketers to concentrate on game,so that they win against atleast small teams.

How to use your freedom for opening orkut and other blocked websites

For the client Your Freedom which I referred in my How to bypass filters in school for acessing blocked websites[clents] some of the users has asked me to tell how to use the your freedom client.Im providing some detailed instructions here on how to configure the client for your browser so that you can access the sites when they are blocked

1. Go to Your freedom website.If you are a first time user,register yourself and download the latest version of your freedom client.If you don't have JRE on your PC,download the version which is of 25mb or more.
2. No install your freedom and a your freedom configuration wizard will popup.
3. Click next and enter your proxy server and port and click next.
4. If its says All fine-->click next and it will start looking for your freedom server.Once the server is found,click save ,It will ask password when you go in the next step and you are done.Don't forget to tick the options of Redirect socks4/5 DNS to freedom server,enable encryption and enable rekeying in the configure window.

If your freedom icon in the system tray still shows the gate as open,Go to messages tab in your freedom main window.In the main window click configure and a new configuration window will popup.Now find the reverse DNS of ems01.your-freedom.de and enter ip of server where it is written as ems.your-freedom.de.Your freedom has 16 servers available here.This thing must work.

Cisco Inc has announced that it has agreed to acquire Online meeting company WebEx communications for about 3.2 billion$.WebEx was found by subrah.S.Iyar,a IIT Mumbai passout.WebEx has sales of $380 million, and a net income of around $47 million and its offers services like online conferencing and secure instant messaging.

So,what made Cisco,the world's leader in computer networks acquire WebEx????

As per GigaoM Cisco has done this just to take on with Microsoft who is trying to take on Cisco in VOIP business.The two companies will continue to butt heads as the worlds of computing and communication collide and become 'comm'puting. Gmail has got almost 2.8 GB,Yahoo has got a GB,Lycos offers unlimited size attachments....What can rediff mail do to hold its existence in the market?? So far Reddiff has been showing itself as mail service loading at lightning speeds compared to some Hooha mail [We know its Yahoo!] in the commercials which doesnt look to attract the users.I myself signed up on Rediffmail and forgot the password as I didnt find it good to use.When Gmail arrived I forgot about other mail services.So Rediff has came up with unlimited storage to attract the users.

Techshout reports that Rediff.com India Ltd. announced that it has incorporated unlimited storage space on its email service Rediffmail. The announcement was made on a boat that took all present at the event for a ride in the Arabian Sea, off Gateway of India and the banners and balloons with the announcement were let loose.

But I dont think that a normal email user who has a 3 GB space will go for unlimited storage because 3 GB is more than enough for emails with the Gmail's algorithm increasing the mailbox space at a constant rate and if you are that great user of email,its damn hard to tell everyone about your new mail adress.Lol Rediff

Apart from this the police will now be tracking out the posts in blogs also who talk about hating the country,religions and anything that's gonna effect the feelings of people.This is not something that will effect the freedom of bloggers and social media people.Communities like hate India which has 904 members on Orkut will hurt the feelings of the people and might send wrong signals.The move of the police is to be appreciated as it might help finding these kind of jerk's who don't have courage to show up in public and try to mask themselves online.

Statistics : Never forget to publish statistics of the views you presented.Sometimes fake statistics can help you get some diggs.Maybe people may find the fakeness when you make it to the frontpage.Don't be too personal in the views.

Fire of Firefox : Firefox fire is also spread inside digg.Firefox posts makes to the frontpage most of the time.Talk about the tweaks,plugins and extensions.None of these are useless inside Digg

Save in your notebook or journal : Many a times,I get ideas when I'm offline or when I go out.I makeup my mind to write on that thing when I reach home.But I cant remember the topic when I reach home.To avoid this kinda situations jot down the name of the topic or title in a notebook or a small diary.Always keep it with you to prevent loss of ideas.

Read related blog's : If you have no ideas or information to share for the day,Just have a glance on other related blogs and websites.If you find anything interesting there,find more info about it and write a article in your own style.

Scheduled writing : Follow a particular schedule for blogging.Set time for everything like writing articles,editing your blog templates and all.Dont sit all the time infront of your PC. That reduces your thinking capacity and makes you numb.Do some activities to keep yourself fresh.

Answer questions : Try to find questions which most people like to ask on other sites like Yahoo Answers and write a solution for it.This brings you a lot of visitors.

Enhance you workplace : Have a pleasant workplace ,so that you can think better.Have a nice scenic wallpaper infront of your table so that your mind gain some pleasantness

I has been trying since the morning on finding out how to place a adsense ad in the blog posts as I did in my posts [E.g Firefox shortcuts ] .In all searches I found the various tricks for editing the blog template to have a adsense ad on the top of each page instead of displaying the ads only in permalink pages and not on the home page.Im sharing the code which I found on the net and which I thought might be useful to you also.

Alternate query types

Cache Operator : The query [cache:] will show the version of the web page that Google has in its cache. For instance, [cache:fivepointsome1.blogspot.com] will show Google's cache of the Five point someone homepage. Note there can be no space between the "cache:" and the web page url. If you include other words in the query, Google will highlight those words within the cached document. link: This is used to find all websites which link to your webpage. This functionality is also accessible from the Advanced Search page, under Page Specific Search > Links. related : The query [related:] will list web pages that are "similar" to a specified web page. For instance, [related:fivepointsome1.blogspot.com] will list web pages that are similar to the my homepage. Info : The query [info:] will present some information that Google has about that web page.This functionality is also accessible by typing the web page url directly into a Google search box.

Sending a Cheque Abroad :

* Cheque clearing can take from 4 - 6 weeks.
* Even though it's easy to issue a check, it may not be easy for the recipient to cash the check.
* The recipient will be charged a fee of about $50 for cheque processing.
* Some countries have less streamlined banking systems than others and may not honor foreign-drawn checks.

Foreign Drafts :

* Depending on which city or town you live in, this can take from a few days to a week for the bank to prepare the draft.
* Draft is to be mailed.So add the mail recieving time also apart from draft preparing by bank time to caluculate total time of transfer.
* The money comes out of your account when the draft is prepared, not when the recipient gets it.
* Cost is 25$
* Since the draft is drawn on your bank to another (corresponding) bank, the recipient must have access to the corresponding bank.

Wire Transfers :

* You don't have to be a customer of the bank to wire funds, but you have to pay cash.
* This is quicker than a Foreign Draft, since it is done almost immediately.
* The fee is about $65 for non-customers and about $40 for bank customers.
* The recipient must have access to the corresponding bank.

Money Order :

* Maximum allowed is $700 per money order. However, you can purchase multi money orders per day, up to a maximum of $10,000.
* The processing fee ranges from $3 - $8.50 per money order.
* U.S. Money Orders can be cashed in banks or post offices in most countries around the world.
* All U.S. post offices provide this service.
* You must fill out the recipient's name on the money order before mailing to the recipient.
* Keep the numbered carbon copy receipt for your records.
* In case of problems, the money order is traceable by its unique number.

Orkut is in the news again.I was watching telivision and i saw this news.280 students are caught redhanded in a rave party in pune taking drugs and other banned items.The point is all of them dont know each other but are there because someone sent a invite through Orkut.The best thing is that this happened because of gr8 combo work of media and police.The police let all of them gather and then surrounded the group.Parents of the children caught still say that their child is still innocent and the police has nabbed them without any reason.Police is trying to question them right in their office right now instead of sending them to custody and interrogating in court.

Type about:config in your adress bar.Right click on the new page and select New -> Boolean.In the pop-up window, type in “config.trim_on_minimize” without quotes and hit enter.In the next pop-up window, select True and hit enter.Restart your browser

Cache tweak: Firefox caches the previous pages inorder to make them load faster when you visit again which consumes a lot of memory.Steps for the tweak are

Type about:config in your adress bar and go to browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers” and instead of the -1 setting, change it to 0 and hit Enter.

Memory tweak: Firefox auto adjust the cache size to fit irrespective of many pages you have open. While this is useful, if you tend to only have a few pages open at a time, you can manually reduce the setting to a specified amount at the cost of reducing performance when Firefox runs out of cache.

Type about:config in your adress bar and hit enter.Right click on the new page and select New -> Integer.In the pop-up window, type in “browser.cache.memory.capacity”. In the following pop-up window, specify how many Kb of ram you want to dedicate to the cache.Go for hit and trail for getting optimum usage.Restart your browser

For getting your download mamanger closed as soon as the download is over,set the value of browser.download.manager.closeWhenDoneto true which is by default set to false. For preenting the download manager from flashing in your taskbar for certain time,modify browser.download.manager.flashCount the value to 0. Restart your Firefox after all tweaks.

Type about:config in your adress bar and go to browser.cache.memory.capacity
set its value as per your PC memory i.e For 512Mb and 1Gb RAM,start with 15000. For RAM sizes between 128MB and 512M, try 5000.

Semi technical way :

Type about:config in your address bar and search for browser.startup.page -- right click on it ,go to modify and set the value to 2 If you want to restore it.

Tutorial to speed up you Firefox

Firefox has got good tweaking for increasing the speed of your internet especially on broadband.Follow the rules which I'm mentioning below and it will increase the speed of your internet

1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30.

This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

Fed up surfing on the net with one hand on the mouse and the another on keyboard????Do you want to surf like a geek???If it's so you need to use keyboard shortcuts.All you have to do is just to hold down your ctrl or control key on the keyboard and the type the letters given below to perform the required actions [ E.g T means ctrl +T ].

T	Opens a new tab and takes the focus to the new tab
O	Open Local File. This is one of the biggest changes from IE where both Ctrl-O and Ctrl-L opened a dialogue box for a URL.

Tab	Scrolls through the tabs from current window towards the right. Loops back to the first tab when rightmost tab is reached
1..0	The numbers 1 to 0 takes the focus to Tab 1 to 10
N	Opens a new window like IE
W	a tab or if there are no tabs, close the window
B	Open bookmark sidepanel
D	Bookmark current page
H	Brings up the history dialogue box on the right. Useful if you closed a page accidentally and forgot the URL. Or to make sure your kids are not looking at pr0n
U	Show page source
Y	Open downloads window
K	Focus goes to search bar

How to maintain your LCD screen

Instructions for cleaning LCD screens:-
Your LCD television and monitor or laptop is designed with liquid crystal technology. These screens are very sensitive to the touch and can be easily damaged. Also, because the screens are not made of glass, ingredients typical to glass treatment agents, such as Ammonia, should not be used on your laptop or flat screen monitor.Dust can quickly accumulate on the display of your TV, computer monitor, or laptop screen. That will strain reading ease and clarity. Clean your screen whenever it's necessary, but do it correctly to avoid scratches or degeneration of screen quality.These displays are not constructed to be touched. It is very important for you to exercise care in the handling of your liquid crystal display, because it is a liquid crystal display rather than a glass display. The tiny dots that make up the images on the screen are each a separate transistor/crystal. Pressure can "crack" pixels easily, and even the "rough" surface of paper towels may scratch the display surface. When the pixels are damaged, black spots fill those areas of your monitor.

Pressing and poking, whether with a dull object such as your finger, or a sharp object, such as a pen or knife, typically damages far more than one individual pixel. Imagine not being able to read lines of text on your screen, or loose image visibility in a section of your television! Extensive damage will obliterate entire areas of imaging. Therefore, keep your fingers and other objects away from the display. If you need to point out text or image details to others, "point" them out electronically by using the mouse pointer. Alternately, add a computer filter over the surface which will help prevent accidental contact, or you can maintain a distance between any "pointer" and the display's surface.

When dust, pet hair, or other dirt builds up on the display, it is important to clean the surface. Prior to treating your unit, unplug it. Then, use a soft cloth such as soft, untreated eyeglass cloths or micro fiber cleaning cloths, rather than tissues. Also, use the correct solution. Be aware that you should not use any product containing ammonia or ethanol, as these components will degrade LCD screens. Make certain the commercial computer monitor cleanser you purchase specifically states that it is for use as a screen cleaner. Instead of buying a commercial cleaner, some people make their own solution using 50% isopropyl alcohol and 50% distilled water (tap water may leave mineral spots).
Spray the cloth, not the monitor. When cleaning LCDs, laptops, computers or televisions, make sure they are unplugged. Do not place or spray the liquid directly onto your notebook or TV. Instead, dampen the special cloth slightly with the cleanser and then gently wipe your screen in a consistent motion, such as counter clockwise, rather than haphazard motions. Use the cleaner sparingly to avoid the leakage of excess fluid into the keypad.

All these suggestions apply equally to laptop displays as well as your other LCD monitors.

Placing a glare filter over your computer monitor or attaching a protective cover over your laptop display provides added protection against damage or the build-up of dirt. Railway Budget '07 rocks

Lalu prasad Yadav - the minister who has been through so many controversaries than anyother is always in the news ever since he became the railway minister of India.His way started with maintaining modest prices for passengers,then advertising on coaches,getting railways to profit after a long time and now reducing the prices for first time in Indian railways.This strategies made him get to IIMA and then to Horward.
Railway Minister Lalu Prasad in his pro-poor Railway Budget for 2007-08 presented in the Lok Sabha on Monday announced major relief for passengers by cutting fares across the board.The minister cut passenger fares cut by 4 per cent for sleeper class rail travel.Lalu Prasad also kept the freight rates unchanged.AC Ist class fares reduced by 6 per cent in lean season and by 3 per cent in peak season.Re 1 cut in daily non-suburban train fares.For AC two-tier, the busy season reduction is 2 per cent and lean season 4 per cent.He also lowered fares for all classes of high capacity new design reserved coaches which would be 4 per cent for AC three-tier and AC chair car in busy season and 8 per cent in lean season.In sleeper class, the fare-reduction would be 4 per cent in all seasons. The railway minister announced that discounts for the busy season shall be applicable in popular trains throughout the year.Superfast charge on second class tickets has been reduced by 20 per cent from Rs 10 to Rs 8, he said.Mr.Prasad announced introduction of tourist ticket in Mumbai suburban services with facility for unlimited travel.He brought down charges for e-tickets booked on the Internet.The railway minister also cus petrol diesel freight rates by 5 per cent.
Fed up with getting your ticket reserved by standing for a longtime in Railway Reservation centres???? Lalu sir has again got something for you.Lalu Prasad on Monday said that rail tickets will soon be sold at petrol pumps, ATM centres, et cetera to make life easier for passengers.Ticket bookings and hotel bookings can be done through railway call centres which will soon be set up, the railway minister said.He also said that 6,000 automatic ticket vending machines to be set up in next two years.
Note : New telephone number for railway inquiry to be 139 across India.
